Program Design

An open call is published several months before the event. It invites the community to submit session proposals around the event's themes.

The overarching theme is defined by the core team. Tracks are broad areas of focus, topics are specific session subjects within each track.

Program curators are often distributed across cities. Regular video calls and a shared curation tool keep the process coherent.

After the call for proposals closes, sessions are reviewed, selected and assembled into a coherent schedule. Consider flow, energy levels, and diversity of formats.

Beyond content, the experience of participants matters: transitions between sessions, spaces for informal networking, moments of surprise.
