Está claro que los sistemas de salud se enfrentan a grandes retos en los próximos años, tanto demográficos (envejecimiento de la población y procesos de cronicidad), de incremento de la demanda de atención, así como financieros y de escasez de recursos disponibles. Bajo esta problemática, el modelo de operativa actual del sistema tiende a ser insostenible tal y como lo conocemos y es por ello que es más importante que nunca que comencemos a "Deconstruir, Combinar, Reinventar" los parámetros del modelo actual.
